How to make the Call

Dial the relevant Globetalk access number for the country you wish to call (to be found on this web site).
At the prompt dial your international destination number in full (including 00)*
That's it, you're connected.

* Remember you can dial your destination number at any time during the prompt.

Calling from a mobile?

You can use Globetalk from your mobile phone too - giving you massive savings compared to international mobile tariffs.

With some mobile tariffs UK National (0870) calls are bundled with your free minutes package - and some service providers bundle 0844 calls too!

Just make sure that you check rates with your mobile service provider before making your calls.

When you call from a mobile, remember to only press the call or send button after dialing the access number but not again after dialing the destination number.

To find out the cost of calling from a UK mobile, or a non BT landline, you should confirm the rates directly with your service provider as these may vary.

How you pay for the calls you make

When you make a call via Globetalk you only pay for calling one of the Globetalk access numbers. It is your service provider that will charge you - not us. So for example, if you made a 5 minute call to India from a BT phone, then next time you got your BT bill you would see a call to our 0871 number, a duration of 5 minutes and a charge of 50p and absolutely no charges by us. Simple!

The prices shown on this site are BT's charges per minute for calling the Globetalk access number and you are charged per second from connection to the Globetalk service. If you're not with BT you need to check with your service provider how much they will charge for calls made to the Globetalk access numbers. Some mobile service providers even bundle some of the Globetalk access numbers into certain free minutes packages. If you are thinking of using a Globetalk access number from your mobile phone please first check the charges with your mobile service provider.

How much a does a UK national call cost?

If you are using Globetalk from a BT phone, BT Standard prices are as follows:

7.91p per minute during the day including VAT
3.95p per minute in the evening including VAT
Remember to use 0870 794 5478 during the week.

At weekends it's just 5p minute including VAT
Remember to use 0844 570 5478 at weekends.

It can be even cheaper

If you have BT together, Peak is just 7.51p, and off-peak is 3.75p all inc VAT! Plus, if you're a Business user and reclaim VAT you'll only pay 6.73p Peak and 3.36p off peak!
